Gold River
Gold River is a unique, serene master planned community of 2736 gracious single family homes and condominiums nestled among miles of nature trails, mature trees, and lush landscaping. Developed by the visionary, Robert Powell, the community is divided into 25 villages – some gated, some not. Each village is named to reflect the Gold Rush history of the area, for example: Sutter Village, Gold Spike Village, and Mother Lode Village. The Town Center at the entry to Gold River houses a local market, coffee shop, bank, an assortment of restaurants, as well as many other conveniences. Also within the community is a well-established sports facility. Both river rafting and the Sacramento State Aquatic Center are just minutes away. Although offering the feeling of seclusion, the location provides very easy access to Highway 50.
Gold River is known for having long-time residents, many of whom have moved around within the community since it first began in the early 1980’s. The neighborhood has a wide appeal because there is a great variety of floor plans and amenities. The neighborhood elementary school is a draw for families with young children. The outdoor recreational facilities and the Gold River Racquet Club are very popular with both kids and active adults. The convenience of location, the sense of community, and the presence of 24-hour security appeal to all ages. Because of a strong commitment to the CC&R’s and an active homeowners’ association, the exteriors, streets, front yards, and common areas are meticulously maintained and display a real pride of ownership. A drive through Gold River makes it easy to understand why the neighborhood has such appeal.
